We have been so humbled this month by all that God has done. On January 18th, Bellevue Baptist Church sent us out by praying over our Core Team during both services. Below is a photo from one of those services as they prayed over us.
Here are a few praises we would love to share:
The Lord placed it on someone’s heart to gift the church a 1-acre commercial lot. This property could be sold, with the proceeds going toward the launch of the church or wherever the Lord may lead.
The Lord has also blessed the church with several financial gifts.
Our Core Team has been praying through three major requests, and the Lord has already answered one of them!
One of the most important needs for a church plant is a Sending Church.
A sending church is a local church that formally commissions, supports, and partners with a church planter to help establish a new gospel-centered church. A sending church provides prayer, leadership encouragement, accountability, and often financial and ministry support—walking closely with the planter from launch through early growth so the new church remains healthy, biblical, and mission-focused.
We are thrilled that Bellevue Baptist Church led by Pastor Ben Mandrell has agreed to be our Sending Church! God is so good!
Bellevue is currently setting up an online giving link that will allow people to give to the church plant through them. We will share that link as soon as it is available. They will pass those gifts along to us until all of our accounts are fully established.
Core Team Update
It has been an incredible first month together as a Core Team! We have visited different churches and enjoyed meaningful meals in one another’s homes, all while dreaming and praying about the new church plant. The Lord has given our team a beautiful spirit of unity, and we are so thankful for His guidance.
We believe the Lord has called our church to be a church that makes disciples who make disciples. Because of this, we are beginning our first discipleship groups this week. I will be leading the men, and Mrs. Pam Golding will be leading the ladies. We are excited to see how the Lord brings us together as this core group prepares our hearts to disciple others when the church launches.
This group of twenty people is truly special, and we believe the Lord is going to do a great work in each of us as we seek to know Him more deeply. I am humbled and grateful to be part of this team and continually encouraged by each of them.
Ewalt Family Update
Our family has truly enjoyed this new season! We have grown closer together, are learning to serve together, and are becoming more fully dependent on the Lord.
One thing we are especially excited about is the opportunity for all six of us to serve on mission trips this summer. In June, Shirynn, Mattie, Josiah, Chloe, and I will be traveling to Cambodia. During that same time, Camden will be heading to Kenya with another missions group.
Please join us in praying that our time there would be fruitful and make a lasting impact for the Kingdom. We also ask that you would pray the Lord provides all the finances needed for all six of us to go.
How to Pray
We are so thankful for each of you! Please join us in praying for the following:
That the Lord would go before us in these meetings and clearly open the door to show us where He is calling us to plant the church.
That the Lord would raise up individuals and church partners who will pray, give, and go with us.
That the Lord would provide all the finances needed for the church.
That the Lord would provide a salary and insurance for the Ewalt family.
